DillingerCPA was originally established as a Tax & Bookkeeping firm to serve the international and domestic tax, consulting, and bookkeeping needs of individuals and small businesses in the San Francisco Bay area and around the world. Our firm’s leader, John Dillinger, has provided tax services for over 25 years. John’s background in tax preparation, "Big Four" public accounting, and as an IRS auditor gives him a unique perspective into your tax needs.

Previously, John has successfully helped clients with the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Programs. He continues to help clients understand and come into compliance in regards to their international filing requirements under the most recent IRS Disclosure Programs. Even though he’s a native Californian, John loves to travel whenever he gets the chance. As a result, he has many clients and friends that live all around the world. When not traveling, he’s usually found building upon his 25+ years of tax knowledge and experience.

John is not the typical accountant

Having a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science helps John hear clients tell him that he has a good personality “for an accountant”.

Prior to starting DillingerCPA, John worked in International Tax at the “Big Four” accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers and as an Internal Revenue Agent with the Self-Employed/Small Business Division of the Internal Revenue Service.

John is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant

He earned his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University and has a second Master’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University.

Bobby joined the practice in 2010 and now serves as Vice President and lead Financial Advisor. Bobby helps clients with all of their financial planning and wealth management needs, including: investment advice, estate planning, retirement planning, 401Ks, tax strategies, and other financial matters.

Bobby believes that a comprehensive, client-focused approach to financial planning ensures that the recommended programs encompass each client’s financial goals, time frames and risk tolerance. Bobby specializes in investment analysis. He works closely with clients to develop customized financial strategies that incorporate asset allocation, financial management, retirement planning, college planning and succession planning.

Helping people, whether it’s planning for retirement or college expenses, is truly Bobby’s passion. In addition to developing a custom financial strategy for each client, he conducts regular meetings with clients to review performance, reconfirm financial goals and make adjustments as economic or lifestyle conditions warrant.

Bobby is a member of NAPFA and earned a Master of Science in Financial Planning from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and Economics from Washington State University.  

Bobby is a travel enthusiast who loves to explore and discover local cultures and people.  One of his favorite quotes and life motto includes:

Additionally, Nancy has worked in the Income Tax Profession since high school and has 25+ years of experience in taxes and bookkeeping. Nancy is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, which gives her the same rights before the IRS as an Attorney or Certified Public Accountant.

When not working on tax returns Nancy enjoys spending time with her son, family, friends and sailing.

Payroll Services

DillingerCPA can deliver payroll processing. Specifically, we can:

  •  Set up employee payroll and ensure proper tax registrations
  •  Manage and process payroll
  •  Calculate proper payroll withholdings
  •  Assist with after-the-fact payroll, including preparation of quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns (submitted online), including year-end Forms W-2, W-3, and 1099s
  •  Assist with calculations on special or bonus payroll amount 
  •  Calculate employee net checks based on hours worked and pay rate, we record the payroll and calculate the tax deposits required
